HMD Global launched the Nokia XR20 in India today. This is the company’s latest rugged smartphone that comes with a military-grade design (MIL-STD-810H military standards) with four years of security updates and 3 years of OS upgrades. The company claims that this smartphone is built for conditions far harsher than the rough and tumble of everyday life.

The Nokia XR20 comes with 6.67-inch FHD+ punch-hole display, the same as the X20. The XR20 has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for better durability. The smartphone runs on Android 11. It is powered by Snapdragon 480 5G SoC processor with Adreno 619 GPU.

The Nokia XR20 has two rear cameras; a 48MP main camera with ƒ/1.79 aperture, LED flash, ZEISS Optics, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture, OZO Audio. It has an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It also has an Action Cam mode that lets users record stable video footage.

It comes with an extra loud dual stereo speaker setup with OZO spatial audio and all-new SpeedWarp mode and 2 noise-canceling microphones. In connectivity options, this smartphone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NavIC, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

It packs a 4630mAh battery with 18W wired charging support and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone is water-resistant (IP68), and it is MIL-STD 810H certified.

The Nokia XR20 will be available for pre-booking starting from 20th October at Rs 46,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The sales of this rugged smartphone will begin from 30th October 2021. There are two color options, Ultra Blue and Granite color. The Nokia XR20 rugged smartphone will be available across all leading offline retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and Nokia.com.
