Reliance Jio’s upcoming budget smartphone will be launched in the country just before Diwali. This phone was previously expected to launch in September but the launch was pushed back due to the ongoing chip shortage. JioPhone Next will be a 4G smartphone and the price could be less than Rs. 5000. Some leaks suggested that the smartphone will be priced at Rs 3,499 in India.
This phone is being made by Reliance Jio and Google. Google is taking care of software and Jio has worked on the hardware. The phone runs a light version of Android specifically made for this phone. It will be similar to Android Go with a pre-installed suite of Android Go apps.
The phone will also come with several features such as voice assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, AR camera filters, language translation, and Moore. The phone will also get regular security updates and major Android updates.
JioPhone Next was also recently spotted on the Google Play listing. As per reports, the phone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 215 chipset, Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB / 3GB RAM, up to 32GB of internal storage, 13 megapixels rear camera, 8 megapixels selfie camera, and 2500mAh battery.
