Instagram is adding two new features to improve the live streaming experience on the platform. Creators can now schedule their Live broadcasts in 90 days advance. They can also share about it in both posts and Stories. Interested viewers can set a reminder if they don’t want to miss the broadcast.
YouTube has been offering Livestream scheduling for a long time. So, creators can promote their steam in advance to get viewers. Facebook Live also offers scheduling, marketing, and pre-broadcast lobbies.
Instagram has confirmed that the Live Scheduling feature will be available globally.
Instagram is also adding ‘Practice Mode’ that lets creators connect with guests before they start a broadcast. This feature lets them check if audio and lighting are fine before they go live.
Live Scheduling is available starting today but Practice Mode will be rolled out soon.
