Apple is launching Apple Music to Play Station 5. The app will let subscribers stream music on their Play Station 5 console. Sony promises seamless integration with the Apple Music streaming service. Along with normal music listening, you can also keep running the app in the background while you’re gaming.
Apple Music offers more than 90 million songs, tens of thousands of curated playlists, music videos in 4K, Apple Music Radio, and country live. Of course, You need to purchase an Apple Music subscription to enjoy music streaming.
Apple already has Apple TV app for Sony and Microsoft gaming consoles. Apple TV app is available on both PS4 and PS5, but Apple Music is exclusive to PS5.
Apple is slowly expanding Apple Music to Moore third-party platforms. Now Apple Music is also available on Android, Echo speakers, Google Nest speakers, select Samsung smart TVs, web, Chrome OS, and Apple’s own range of hardware.
It is worth noting that Spotify has already been available on the PlayStation. Now with Apple Music, PS5 users are getting another choice. Apple is also expected to bring Apple Music to other consoles like Xbox in the future.
