Apple unveiled the third-generation AirPods at its ‘Unleashed’ event on Monday. These brand new AirPods are the successor to the AirPods 2.  This next-generation AirPods come with a wireless charging case that supports Apple’s MagSafe.

The new AirPods have AirPods Pro-like design with a Force sensor for pressure controls — just like the AirPods Pro. There is also support for Dolby Atoms in Apple music. The Airpods include a hands-free ‘Hey Siri’ voice assistant feature.

There is a custom driver and a high dynamic range amplifier in 3rd gen AirPods that both are praised to enhance bass output and deliver clean high frequencies. There is also Adaptive EQ technology support that helps in tuning sound in real-time based on how AirPods fit in the user’s ear. The most amazing feature the Apple adds in AirPods (3rd Generation) is Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. Previously this technology was only available on the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.

The other feature on this AirPods is a skin-detect sensor that helps accurately determine if the earbuds are in the ear or in a pocket or on a table and accordingly pause playback when removed from ears.

Apple claims that the AirPods (3rd Generation) has an additional hour of battery life as compared to the previous generations. It has up to six hours of listening time and up to four hours of talk time. There is also wireless charging support on the case that supports MagSafe protocol. The AirPods (3rd Generation) deliver about an hour of battery life in just five minutes of charging. It also gives 30 hours of total listening time with four additional charges in the case.

Apple AirPods (3rd Generation) price in India is Rs. 18,500 and it will be available for orders in the country via the Apple India Online Store starting Monday. The Airpods will go on sale from Tuesday, October 26. In the US, the new AirPods will be available at $179.
