Microsoft introduced Windows 11 back in June and also released an early build through Windows Insider Program. Now the company has confirmed that Windows 11 will be released for eligible devices starting from October 5th.

This will be a free upgrade to all Windows 10 users. The company has confirmed that all eligible devices will get Windows 11 update by mid-2022.

Windows 11 requires 1 GHZ or a faster processor with 2 or more cores. It also requires 4GB RAM, 64 GB or larger storage, UEFI, Secure Boot capable system firmware, Trusted Platform Module version 2.0, and graphics card compatible with DirectX 12 or later. The next-get OS will also be available on some older devices.

If your system doesn’t meet minimum system requirements, you can install Windows 11 using an ISO image. But you won’t get any updates from Microsoft. Microsoft will support the current Windows 10 version until October 14, 2025.

Gamers are also excited to experience Windows 11. Microsoft says that Windows 11 is the best Windows ever for gaming. Windows 11 brings AutoHDR, DirectStorage, and heavy integration of Games Pass.

When Windows 11 was announced, Microsoft confirms that it will support Android apps. Android apps will also be available to download through the Amazon App store. Today, the copy confirmed that support for Android apps will not be available at the time of launch. It will be added in the coming months.
