Motorola’s next-gen over-the-air wireless charger can charge up to 4 phones at once

Motorola has unveiled the next-gen over-the-air wireless charging tech. This new over-the-air wireless charging can charge up to 4 devices at the same time. It also works at a greater distance.

The company also shared a Weibo, Motorola showcases its 2nd gen over-the-air wireless charging tech. The charging device is significantly larger than the predecessor. It packs 1600 antennas, a charging management chip, and heat dissipation.

Previous over-the-air charging devices had a charging distance of just 100cm but the newer model can charge devices up to 3 meters away. The newer charging device can also charge even if there’s an obstruction.

Xiaomi and Oppo are also working on wireless charging tech. Xiaomi unveiled Mi Air Charge and Oppo revealed Wireless Air Charging. But these devices can only charge one device at a time.
