iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max with 120Hz screens, A15 Bionic chipset announced

Along with iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, Apple also introduced iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Tim Cook called the series the “most Pro iPhone ever.”

The iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and 13 Pro Max offers a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. The new Super Retina XDR display offers 1,000 nits of brightness. Both the phones feature adaptive refresh rates of up to 120Hz to the Pro series. It will also be the first time when Apple is introducing ProMotion to iPhone.

Both the phones pack an A15 Bionic chipset for improved performance. A15 Bionic is a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. Apple is also promising a new 16 core neural engine. These iPhone models come with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage options.

Both the phones feature a triple camera that includes telephoto, ultra-wide and wide cameras. Apple is also adding support to macro photography. All the camera sensors now work with Night Mode, because of computational photography.

Apple has improved 5G connectivity and added support for more bands.

The iPhone 13 Pro will start at $999 and the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $1,099. Both the phones will be sold in Graphite, Gold, Silver, and Sierra Blue colors. Pre-orders start on Friday and shipping starts on September 24.
