Google has announced a new feature called “Phone Link” for Stadia. The feature lets you use your smartphone as a touch gamepad to play Stadia Games on any TV.
Google Stadia was initially launched with Google Stadia controller. Later, it added support for third-party controllers like an Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch controller. Now you can use your phone as well.
You can also use Phone Link to connect a third-party controller to your smartphone over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and then use it while playing games on your TV.
You don’t need to wait for using this feature, Google has already started rolling it out and it should reach all users in the coming days. The rollout will start with 1% of Stadia users.
