Fossil has unveiled their next-generation smartwatch Fossil Gen 6 with improved hardware.

Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch comes in 44mm case and 42mm case with interchangeable strap options. There’s a 1.28-inch touchscreen AMOLED display. It runs Wear OS 2 by Google out of the box and will also get Wear OS 3 update in 2022. It supports watch faces, calendar alerts, smartphone notifications, control for smart home devices, and more.

The smartwatch packs Snapdragon Wear4100+ with 1 GB RAM and 8GB of storage. The company claims that the new smartwatch can offer 30 percent increased performance and power consumption as compared to Fossil Gen 5 . It features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity along with WiFi, GPS, and NFC SE. Sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass, Altimeter, PPG Heart Rate, SpO2, Off-body IR, and Ambient Light.

Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch comes with integrated speakers and a mic. Android and iOS users can also make and receive calls directly from the smartwatch.

It features 4 pin USB fast charging with a magnetic puck. The company promises more than 24 hours of battery life but it depends on usage. The smartwatch also supports fast charging where a 30-minute charge will top up the battery to 80%.

Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch starts at $299 and is now available to pre-order globally.
