Amazon launches Prime Video channels in India

Amazon is launching Prime Video Channels in India on September 24. Prime Video Channels will offer content from different video streaming services within the Prime Video app. The company is launching the service with eight OTT platforms for all Prime members at discounted prices.

The 8 partner OTT channels are Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, Eros Now, DocuBay, MUBI, Hoichoi, manoramaMAX, and Shorts TV. Apart from the Primer membership fee, users will also have to pay extra for these channels but the price will be lower than the actual subscription cost of the OTT platform.

Here is the detail of the additional prices you will be paying for different channels.

  • Discovery+: Rs. 299 per year
  • Docubay: Rs. 499 per year
  • Eros Now: Rs. 299 per year
  • Hoichoi: Rs. 599 per year
  • Lionsgate: Rs. 699 per year
  • ManoramaMAX: Rs. 699 per year
  • MUBI: Rs. 1999 per year
  • ShortsTV: Rs. 299 per year

Along with getting discounted prices, you will also have to avoid managing different usernames, passwords, and billing due dates.

Amazon has also confirmed that it will add more channels to the platform in the coming months. Prime members will be able to stream content of partner OTT platforms within the Amazon Prime Video app and Prime Video website.

Amazon already offers Prime Video channels in several countries. The company already has more than 350 OTT partners globally.
