Asus has announced the ROG Phone 5s, the successor to its gaming smartphone ROG 5 in Taiwan. The new phone is almost similar but packs Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. There are two models ROG Phone 5s and the ROG Phone 5s Pro. The Pro model featrues ROG Vision Color PMOLED display on the back.
ROG Phone 5s comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ 144Hz OLED 10-bit HDR display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 888+ 5nm SoC with Adreno 660 GPU. It is offered in 16+256GB and 18+512GB models.
There is a triple camera that includes 64 megapixels primary camera, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 5 megapixels macro camera. This camera can record 8k video at 30 fps, 4k at 60fps, slow-motion 4K at 120 fps, and 1080p at 240fps. It also has a 24 megapixels selfie camera.
The phone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also features Ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5 and grip press detection for additional gaming controls.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, Galileo(E1+E5a), QZSS(L1+L5), NavIC(L5), USB Type-C, and NFC. It packs 6000mAh battery with 65W HyperCharge fast charging.
