Google has finally announced its latest mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 5a 5G. This is the successor to last year’s Pixel 4a 5G.

Pixel 5a 5G features a larger 6.34-inch OLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution. Unlike other devices of this segment, Pixel 5a features just a 60Hz display panel. It packs Snapdragon 765G with Adreno 620 GPU. The phone also has 6GB LPDDR4X memory and 128GB storage.

Pixel 5a 5G comes with a dual camera that includes 12.2 megapixels primary camera and 16 megapixels Ultra-wide camera. It also has an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

The fingerprint sensor is on the back panel. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 LE, GPS, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, and NFC. It packs a 4,680mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The phone is IP67 Water and dust Resistant. It weighs 185g and measures 154.9 x 73.7 x 7.6mm. Google Pixel 5a 5G comes only in Mostly Black colour with forest green undertones and an olive-colored Power button. The company will also sell a case in four different colors – Black Moss, Maybe Moon, Likely Lime, and Partially Pink. Each case color creates unique shades for personalization.

Google Pixel 5a 5G is priced at $449 and is now available in the U.S. and Japan for pre-order. Shipping will start from August 26th.
