Huawei announced its flagship smartphone series P50 that includes Huawei P50 and P50 Pro smartphones.
Huawei P50 comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 888 Soc with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone has 8GB RAM and is offered in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
It has a triple camera that includes 50 megapixels True-Chroma Camera, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera and 12 megapixels telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phone also has 13 megapixels selfie camera
There is an under-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is also IP68 rated for offering water and dust resistance.
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C (GEN1). It packs a 4100 mAh battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging.
Huawei P50 Pro features a 6.6-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It packs Snapdragon 888 4G Soc with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone will also be available with HUAWEI Kirin 9000 4G Soc with ARM Mali-G78 MP24 GPU in select markets. This phone is offers in 8GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage or 12 GB RAM with 512GB storage.
The camera setup is also much better. It features a 50 megapixels True-Chroma Camera, 40 megapixels True-Chrome Mono Camera, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera and 64 megapixels telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. It also includes 13 megapixels autofocus selfie camera.
Huawei P50 Pro is water and dust-resistant. It also comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE,GPS , NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C (GEN1). It packs a 4360mAh battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge wired fast charging and 50W HUAWEI SuperCharge wireless fast charging.
Both the phone runs Harmony OS 2. Huawei claims that the new version is more efficient than previous software to offer better battery life and improved performance.
