Lenovo has announced the launch of a new product ‘Go Wireless Charging Kit‘ that lets you add wireless charging functionality to most laptops.

The Go Wireless Charging Kit includes a 3.2mm-thick brushed metal charging mat that can be plugged into the wall and leave at the desk. Then attach the long wireless charging receiver to the base of your laptop and connect it to the laptop over USB-C.

Lenovo claims that this wireless charging kit should charge most 13-inch to 14-inch “non-touch notebooks of up to 65W” with efficiency of 93 percent. It will also work with bth Windows and macOS devices.

Wireless charging is very rare. Dell released Latitude 7285 back in 2017. This was the first laptop with the world’s first wireless charging support. Intel tried to integrate the Rezence magnetic resonance charging standard into laptops but nothing was commercially released.

Lenovo Go Wireless Charging Kit is priced at $139.99.
