After several rumors and leaks, finally, the next Battlefield game has been revealed. It will be called Battlefield 2042. The game will feature futuristic weapons of war, destructive weather, and support for up to 128 players at once.

Battlefield 2042 will be released for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. EA has also confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One versions will only support 64 players. There is no single-player campaign, but you will be able to play All-Out Warfare modes with AI teammates and opponents.

The video shows weapons and technologies of future. We saw Boston Dynamics-style quadruped robots, futuristic automatic tanks, war planes and drones.

This time, the company is increasing the player count to 128 per match. So, maps are also bigger. There will be seven mas at the time of launch. Maps are divided into sectors where mini-Battlefield matches will be played. You will have to hold a sector by holding all of the points within it. This is the standard Battlefield mode. There will be two other modes including Hazard Zone and DICE LA. More maps and other content will be added to the game via continuing seasons.

Even if the final release is set for October 22, EA will contact a few Battlefield veterans to join beta in early July.

Battlefield 2042 will cost $59.99 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC (via Steam, Origin, and the Epic Games Store), and Xbox One. The game will cost $69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. More information will be confirmed in July 22, at EA Play Live.
