Apple introduces Siri for third-party devices

At WWDC 2021 keynote, Apple has announced some big updates for Siri. Siri is finally coming to third-party devices. HomeKit accessory makers will now be able to integrate Siri voice control into their products.

Apple has not talked about devices and brands that will support Siri. At the event, the company demonstrated an Ecobee thermostat. No further details were revealed.

As per information available, Siri-enabled third-party devices will route requests through HomePod or HomePod mini if the devices are connected to your network.. Apple has confirmed that third-party companies won’t be able to see your Siri commands. 

For now, Siri is only available Apple devices since it was introduced.
