Photo sharing is an important part of social messaging services but people aren’t happy with the high compression that ruins Photo quality. It seems it is going to change in the coming months. Secure messaging service Signal is getting an option to share high-quality 4K photos in conversations.

The company has added the option to send higher-resolution photos in the latest Signal beta v5.11.0. You can download it from APK Mirror if you cannot wait for the option to be available in the stable version.

Once you have the supported version of Signal, the app will show you an option to send High quality while sharing photos in a conversation. It still compresses photos a bit but doesn’t ruin the quality.

People who use WhatsApp know the pain of sharing photos with contacts. Most people send photos as documents to avoid compression. Sharing photos directly in conversation ruins quality due to WhatsApp conversation. Now when Signal is getting this option, WhatsApp will surely bring a similar option.
