Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition

Samsung has introduced Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition in Japan ahead of the 2021 Olympic Games. The phone features the Tokyo Olympics logo on the back and comes in Phantom Blue color with a gold finish on the sides.

Samsung has not yet confirmed the pricing but NTT DOCOMO has started taking pre-orders for the phone. The phone will be available in early June 2021 through the docomo Online Shop.

The company has been introducing Olympic Edition of smartphones for a quite sometimes. It launched Galaxy Note 3 Olympic Edition in 2014, Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition in 2016, Galaxy Note8 2018 Winter Olympic Games Limited Edition, Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition in 2019 and Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Athlete Edition last year.

There is no change in the specifications. To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition features a 6.2-inch FHD + Dynamic AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 888, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 12+12+64 MP rear camera, 10 MP selfie camera, and 4,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The phone is also IPX5 / IPX8 waterproof.

The Tokyo 2020 games were initially postponed by twelve months. We are still not sure if the games will take place at all.
