After several leaks and official teaser’s Xiaomi has now listed the Redmi Note 8 2021 on the global website revealing all the specs.
Update: Xiaomi has now confirmed the pricing. The 4GB+64GB version is priced at US$ 169 and 4GB+128GB version costs $189.
As the name suggests, Redmi Note 8 2021 is the refreshed version of Redmi note 8 that was originally launched back in 2019. The original phone surpassed 25 million unit sales globally. So, the company decided to celebrate the milestone with a new phone.
Redmi Note 8 2021 features a 6.3-inch 1080×2340 LCD touch display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone packs MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset. It comes in two versions, both with 4GB of RAM but with 64GB or 128GB of storage. The phone runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The Quad camera setup on the back includes 48 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels ultrawide camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, and 2 megapixels depth camera. It also has a 13 megapixels selfie camera.
The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also features nano-coating to offer a splash-resistant build. Connectivity options include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB-Type C. It also packs a 4000mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging.
