Carl Pei’s new venture Nothing has unveiled its first product called “Ear 1”. It is a pair of true wireless earbuds and will be launched next month. Carl Pei also announced the product on Twitter and also published a blog post about it.

The company has not disclosed any detail but claims that the product “will define the artistry, confidence, and craftsmanship that will carry our products and services for years to come.”

Carl Pei also talked about the name the company selected for the product.

“We don’t try to dress it up with a fancy name,” Pei said. “Nor do we want to sit around debating said names. We let Ear 1 speak for itself.”

Pei’s Nothing is backed by Google Ventures, some high-profile investors, and individuals. The company also showcased its first prototype design called Concept 1 back in March. That was a semi-transparent design with a tobacco pipe-inspired body.

Carl Pei has confirmed that the Ear 1 is just a beginning and the company will launch an ecosystem of products in the coming years.
