TCL has unveiled another concept phone called Fold ‘n Roll. This phone combines foldable and rollable display tech in a unique way. So, the 6.87-inch phone can be expanded to an 8.85-inch phablet size or a 10-inch tablet as per users’ needs.

Watch this video to understand how this fold and roll mechanism works in this phone.

TCL says that the phone is still under works and the company is exploring the technical specifications. So, don’t expect this phone to be an actual consumer product anytime soon.

TCL is investing much in advanced screen technologies. It has already showcased several foldable concepts. TCL is the parent company of CSOT, a large display maker from China. The company first started making flexible OLED panels in 2019. Now the company is experimenting a lot in display tech.

Foldable phones are now available in the market but prices are really high. So, a rollable phone will also be costly. To keep prices low, companies could compromise in internals but prices still are on higher sides.

LG’s rollable phone concept was interesting but it won’t be a reality because the company has stopped working on smartphones. Now we are hoping from TCL to bring an interesting rollable display phone.
