Netflix has introduced a “Play Something” button on TV globally. It helps users play random content that Netflix thinks you should watch. When you are not sure what to watch next on Netflix, you can use this button. The company plays a random film or a TV show based on your interest.

“Starting today you’ll find PLAY SOMETHING when you log on to Netflix – locate it underneath your name, as a row on the homepage, or in the menu,” says Netflix on Twitter.

If you don’t like the film or TV show Netflix plays on clicking the “Play Something,” you can again hit the “Play Something Else” button to get the next button. You can click on it as many times as you want until you find something interesting to watch.

This feature works fine only if you are using your own Netflix account. This is the only way Netflix can know what’s your interest and what kinds of content you usually watch. The company is putting this new button at three places, so you can easily find it.

The company has been testing this for over nine months before finally rolling it for all users.
