Microsoft has confirmed that its communications app Microsoft Teams now has 145 million active users. This is a 26 percent increase in the username since the company last revealed numbers back in October 2020.

Usage of Teams spiked over the past year due to the pandemic as more businesses adopted online meetings. To give you an idea of growth, you should know that Microsoft teams had just 32 million daily active users at the beginning of the pandemic. It increased to 75 million in a few weeks by April 2020.

At this point, we cannot compare the numbers with the rivals. Google and Zoom don’t reveal daily active users but they talk about daily active participants. Zoom had 300 million and Google has 100 million daily active participants last year.
