Amazon Music brings podcasts to India

Amazon India has finally launched podcasts in India. If you are an Amazon Prime member and have the Amazon Music app, you can access Podcasts at no additional cost.

Podcasts in Amazon Music features some notable Podcasts including On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Ted Talks Daily, and The Daily Mastery Podcast by Robin Sharma. It will bring Podcasts from more Indian creators such as Cyrus Broacha, Neil Bhatt, Sadhguru, and Anupam Gupta.

Amazon claims that there are more than 9 million podcast episodes in different languages and different genres. You will also be able to download Podcasts for offline access.

Podcasts will also be available on Alexa. So, you can simply ask Alexa to play your favorite Podcasts. For example say “Alexa, play last week’s episode of Ted Talks Daily.”

Amazon Music introduced Podcasts back in September last year. Now the company deduced to bring it to India. Podcasts are becoming popular in India. The Indian podcast market is expected to be valued at Rs. 17.62 crore by 2023.
