Xiaomi has also unveiled a new wireless charging pad that Apple promised but failed to deliver. Xiaomi’s new wireless charging pad can charge up to three different devices at a time. Apple promised its ambitious AirPower multi-device wireless charger back in 2018 but canceled the project in 2019. Now Xiaomi has come with a similar product with an affordable price tag.

Xiaomi’s new wireless charing pad is equipped with 19 coils making it possible to charge up to three Qi capable devices at once. It claims to offer up to 20W of wireless power per device.

A typical wireless charger requires a precise and nimble placement for charging. But Xiaomi claims that this wireless charging pad will give customers a freedom from that. Xiaomi also claims that it has spent around two years in making this wireless charging pad and has overcome several issues such as heat dissipation.

Xiaomi’s charging pad is affordable and is priced at CNY 599 in China. I cannot say if this charging pad will also be released outside China.

Xiaomi is not the only one that has come with an AirPower clone. Nomad also released an 18-coil wireless charger that can charge three devices with no specific placement. But this charging pad could only provide 5W of charging.
