Asus has just unveiled its latest gaming smartphone ROG Phone 5 globally. The phone has also been launched in India starting at Rs. 49999. Along with regular ROG Phone 5, there are also limited version phones ROG Phone 5 Pro called ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.
ROG Phone 5 comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch-sampling rate. The display also boasts 800nits brightness. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the back. ROG Phone 5 Pro & ROG Phone 5 Ultimate also features a secondary display called ROG Vision.
It packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 888 with Adreno 660 GPU. It has LPDDR5 RAM UFS 3.1 storage. There are different variants 8+128GB, 12+256GB, 16+512GB and 18+512GB. The latter two variants are called ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.
The phone has an In-display fingerprint sensor. It also has improved AirTrigger 5 for extra control in gaming. In the ultimate edition, you also get two extra capacitive areas on the back to use as controls in gaming. It has stereo speakers for good audio.
The camera includes 64 megapixels primary camera, 13 megapixels 125˚ ultra-wide camera, and 5 megapixels macro camera. It can record up to 8K videos. The phone also has 24 megapixels selfie camera.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, Galileo(E1+E5a), QZSS(L1+L5), NavIC(L5), USB Type-C, and NFC. It packs 6000mAh battery with support to 65W HyperCharge fast charging.
The ROG Phone 5 comes in Phantom Black and Storm White colors with a glossy back. The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate limited edition will be available in Storm White color with a matte finish.
