PUBG Mobile Crosses 1 billion downloads globally

Popular mobile game PUGB Mobile has achieved a big milestone of 1 billion total downloads worldwide. The number excludes China where the game is quite popular.

Tencent made this announcement while releasing the report on its online games. The company confirmed that the game’s revenue rose 29% in the fourth quarter. Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile were the two main games that helped the company earn more.

PUBG Mobile game has several modes but the battle royale mode has made the game more interesting and popular. In this mode, a group of players fight one another until the last remain alive.

Now PUBG Mobile is only behind Subway Surfers and Candy Crush Saga in download numbers. Both the games are casual titles and are also easy to play.

Tencent now aims to generate half of all its game revenue from overseas market. The company recently opened studios in Los Angeles in the US for LightSpeed and Quantum Studios and Timi Studios. These places will create new original content for overseas growth.
