Next Trillion Technologies and Microscan InfoCommTech PVT LTD have joined hands to launch the one-stop entertainment solution ‘PlayboxTV’ in India. The device is basically a set-top box that brings live TV channels and OTT apps together.
This set-top box connects to your TV over HDMI and brings content. As it runs on Android 9, it supports Android apps. You can install your favorite apps from Play Store or enjoy 350+ TV Channels. The box comes with a dedicated remote but you can also use your smartphone as a remote and gamepad. The remote also has hotkeys for YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video. It supports 4K content if your TV has a 4K display panel.
If you have a normal HDTV, Playbox TV will make it a smart TV. So, you won’t miss your favorite web series and your parents can still watch the TV channel they prefer.

PlayboxTV will be competing directly against Airtem Xtreme Box that offers the same features. If you look at the set-tip box and remote, you will find similar products. We still don’t know the pricing of PlayboxTV. PlayboxTV will have to come with aggressive pricing to compete against Airtel Xtreme Box.
