OnePlus is also launching a smartwatch on March 23

We have been getting rumors on the OnePlus smartwatch for years and finally, we are getting it. Last year in December, OnePlus CEO Mr. Pete Lau promised that OnePlus will launch its first smartwatch in early 2021. Now we know that the watch is coming on March 23 alongside the OnePlus 9 series.

We still don’t know the name but it could possibly be called OnePlus Watch. OnePlus shared a short video on Twitter with the caption “You asked for it. You’re getting it.” Surprisingly the tweet was later deleted.

As per a few reports, there could be two smartwatches. Both the watches are expected to be rebranded Oppo Watch and Oppo Watch RX with some exclusive features.

OnePlus Watch will run on Google’s WearOS and should have integration with the OnePlus ecosystem of devices including smartphones and TV. OnePlus already offers smartphones, TVs, earbuds, and a fitness tracker. Now OnePlus Watch will also join the ecosystem.

OnePlus 9 series launch event is scheduled on March 23 at 7:30 IST.
