Micromax is now set to launch a new smartphone In 1 in its In series of smartphones. The company has started sending out invites for the launch event scheduled on March 19th. The phone is expected to be a multimedia-centric phone.

Micromax announced the IN series last year in November and introduced IN 1B and IN Note 1 smartphones. Both the phones got a good response due to anti-china sentiments. People wanted Indian companies to launch good budget phones, so they could avoid Chinese brands.

Now when Micromax is launching the third phone in its In series, we have high hopes. Micromax confirmed in the past the company was working on a phone with a high screen refresh rate, 6GB RAM, and Widevine L1 support for HD video playback. The invite of IN 1 is of ticket shape confirming a phone for a good movie experience.

We still don’t have many details to talk about. I guess the phone could start at Rs. 14999 and can go up to Rs. 20,999. Let’s see what Micromax has on the cards.
