Rapido, India’s bike taxi provider, has launched an hourly two-wheeler rental service in select cities of India. The service costs Rs 99 per hour and you can book a bike for up to 6 hours.
The company claims that the bike rental service will help customers in limiting their exposure to multiple drivers and avoid multiple bookings if they have to visit multiple places a day for some work.
“We are the only player in this space to launch the first-of-its-kind service. As customer needs grow, people doing multiple bookings can actually shift to this model,” said Aravind Sanka, cofounder of Rapido.
Coronavirus pandemic hit Rapido’s business, but the company is now trying to bounce back. It now operates at 75 percent of pre-COVID-19 levels. The company also launched courier services to compensate for the loss of business. As of now, logistics comprises 20 percent of the company’s business.
Rapido’s hourly two-wheeler rental service is available in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Jaipur.
