Epic Games has announced a browser-based online tool ‘MetaHuman Creator’ that lets users create highly realistic human faces. This tool is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. The company has also released a few videos showing us examples of what this tool is capable of.
MetaHuman Creator runs on the cloud and users Epic’s Unreal Engine and Unreal Engine Pixel Streaming. One can use this online tool to create digital humans. Along with facial features like hairstyles, ear types, beards, and lip shapes, you also get options to add realistic clothing and more as per your need.
If you want to try this tool, you need an Epic account and the Epic Games launcher. You will also need to download Unreal Engine 4 that is 12 GB and another 4.7GB of MetaHumans.
MetaHuman Creator is an excellent tool that can speed up an important process in game development. This tool can also be used for non-gaming projects. It will save hundreds of days work for sure. If you have a basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, you should be able to use it.
Epic is running an early-access program because the tool isn’t quite ready for use. You can sign up for early access if you want to access the tool and try the pair of models.
