Along with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Samsung also announced the next-generation truly wireless buds Galaxy Buds Pro at Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event. The successor comes with lots of improvements including improved sound and call quality.
The main highlight of Galaxy Buds Pro is intelligent Active noise cancellation capabilities. Samsung claims that buds are capable of filtering out up to 99% of the surrounding noise. Users also get two adjustable levels. There’s an Ambient Sound mode that lets the surrounding sounds in and can also amplify the surrounding sounds by more than 20 decibels.
Each bud packs 11mm woofers and 6.5mm tweeters for offering deeper bass and clearer treble. Design has also been ipdated to offer more ergonomic form factor. Buds are also IPX7 rated.
Samsung has also improved call quality. Each bud packs 3 microphones and has a dedicated Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) to provide a good calling experience.
Buds also have a 61 mAh battery and promise 5 hours of music playback with ANC turned on and 8 hours with ANC turned off. The charging case further extends the battery life to a maximum of 28 hours with ANC turned off. Buds also support fast charging and just 5 mins of charging offers 1 hour of playback.
The earbuds are priced at $199.99. It will be available in select markets starting January 15th.
