Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7th, 2021

Today at Resident Evil Showcase, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7th, 2021. The company also confirmed a few other key details.

Resident Evil Village will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The demo will be available for PS5 owners later today. Fans on other platforms will also get early demo access but only after Sony gamers have experienced the game properly.

Players will pick the role of Ethan Winters whose aim will be to rescue his daughter. The game looks to follow the mechanics from Resident Evil VII.

Along with a single-player Resident Evil game, the company also unveiled RE: Verse, a multiplayer title featuring major characters from the Resident Evil universe. This game will be available for free to gamers who buy Resident Evil Village.
