Not just Xiaomi, Motorola also debuted its own work on remote charging today. Unlike Xiaomi, Motorola didn’t give details of how its charging tech works but demonstrated the charging from a distance/
A Motorola executive posted a video on Weibo showing off a prototype remote charging station with two smartphones kept at a distance of 80cm and 100cm but charging wirelessly. The company calls this prototype remote charging ‘Motorola One Hyper.’
The only thing we know about this tech is that it is based on Qi wireless charging. If this is true, it can charge existing Qi-enabled devices. But we need to wait for the details before guessing anything.
