MediaTek unveils Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100 5G Smartphone SoCs

Mediatek has unveiled two new smartphone SoCs Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100 5G as the latest 5G Dimensity Chios. Both the SoCs are designed on a 6nm architecture.

Dimensity 1200 is an octa-core SoC featuring ARM Cortex-A78 ultra core clocked at 3GHz, three ARM Cortex-A78 super cores running at 2.6GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at up to 2GHz. It is paired with Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The SoC supports a maximum of 16GB LDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

It supports a single 200-megapixel camera or two sensors up to 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel. It includes Wi-Fi 6, multi-mode 5G, 4G, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, and FM Radio.

Dimensity 1100 is also an octa-core Soc that packs four Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. It is paired with Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The Chip has support for a maximum of 16GB LDDR4x memory and UFS 3.1 storage.

Dimensity 1100

It supports up to a single 108-megapixel sensor or a 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual cameras. It supports Wi-Fi 6, multi-mode 5G, 4G, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, and FM Radio.

Both the SoCs come with MediaTek’s Networking Engine 3.0, Rapid Response Engine 3.0, and Resource Management Engine 3.0.

Realme has already confirmed to launch a smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC soon without confirming a timeline.
