Honor has today introduced its flagship phone HONOR V40 5G at an event in China. This is the first phone from Honor after separating from Huawei.

HONOR V40 5G features a 6.72-inch FHD+ OLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits brightness. The display is also TUV Rheinland-certified for AI adaptive brightness.

The phone packs an octa-core Dimensity 1000+ 7nm processor and Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It has 8GB RAM and comes in 128GB and 256GB storage models. HONOR V40 5G also runs Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 10 out of the box.

HONOR V40 5G comes with a triple camera that includes 50 megapixels primary Sony IMX766 camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 2 megapixels macro camera. It also has 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front along with a color temperature sensor.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The phone comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. It has stereo speakers and USB Type-C Audio.

The phone packs 4000mAh battery with support to 66W SuperCharge fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

HONOR V40 5G is priced at 3599 yuan for the 128GB storage version and 3999 yuan for the 256GB storage version. It is now available to order in China.
