At India Mobile Congress 2020, MediaTek launched Dimensity 800U 5G chipset in India. This chipset was originally announced back in August. Realme also launched Realme X7 5G with Dimensity 800U in global markets.
Dimensity 800U is a 7nm Soc and supports 5G + 5G dual SIM standby technology. It supports sub-6GHz SA and NSA networks. The Soc also supports dual Voice over New Radio (VoNR) and 5G two carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA).
It has two ARM Cortex-A76 processor clocked at 2.4GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 processors clocked at 2GHz. The octa-core CPU is coupled with Mali-G57 GPU. There’s also an independent AI processing unit (APU).
Dimensity 800U SoC supports FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10. It also has MediaTek MiraVision PQ engine with HDR optimisation for improved display performance.

The chip supports LPDDR4x RAM and can be paired with 12GB memory. It also supports UFS 2.2. It supports a 64MP camera or 20MP+16MP dual camera. It has an Integrated APU and ISP.
Along with 5G, the chip supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. Dimensity 800U also supports voice wakeup and dual-mic noise reduction technology.
