Apple’s upcoming desktop operating system macOS Big Sur will be released on November 12. This new OS comes with new and refreshed user interface, several new features and performance improvements.

The company has adopted several features from iOS 14 to improve the overall experience. Apple has redesigned the Maps app, included Message threading and in-line replies. Apple has also improved the design of Mail and Photos apps.

The new OS also includes a new Control Center and quick access to brightness, volume, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The company has also added some privacy-focused features, such as Privacy Report in Safari that tells cross-site trackers the browser has blocked over the last 30 days. Safari will also tell you if any of your saved passwords have been found in a data breach.

macOS Big Sur will be available on Macs and MacBooks dating back to 2013.
