Popular video game development company IO Interactive has announced that the company is working on a James Bond video game. This game will tell is the origin story of British Secret agent James Bond. The company also released a short teaser today for “Project 007.” The game will be released on console and PC.

The teaser is just a few seconds long that doesn’t give much details. But the company has also released an official website that says, “Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story.”

Bond has appeared in several video games and the first game James Bond 007 was released back in 1983 for various 8-bit consoles. There have been more than 25 games based on bond for multiple gamin platforms.

EA also launched several Bond titles such as 2001’s Agent Under Fire, 2002’s Nightfire, and 2004’s Everything or Nothing. Activision also acquired the license and launched a few games based on Bond.

IO Interactive is known for the popular Hitman series. The last game, Hitman 2 was released back in 2018 and the next game Hitman 3 is expected in 2021.
