PUBG Corp has confirmed that all PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite servers that were serving Indian users will be shut down from today, October 30. The game was banned by Indian government on 2nd September, 2020 under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act 2009. PUBG Mobile apps are already not available on Play Store and App Store since the band was imposed.

PUBG Corporation has already withdrawn its partnership with Tencent and is now looking for an Indian distributor to bring the game back to the Indian market.

Recently, PUBG Corporation also posted a new Job for a Corporate Development Division Manager for Indian operation. It hinted at the comeback of the game in the country. Now after the company has shut down servers, I don’t think we should expect the return of PUBG Mobile in India anytime soon.
