Vivo has now officially confirmed that new Origin OS will replace Funtouch OS in Vivo phones. The company has published several posts on the official Weibo account to confirm Origin OS.

The launch of the new OS is expected to take place on November 19 at the Developer Conference. This Conference will focus on the new OS, applications, games, business cooperation, technology, IoT, and other topics Origin OS will be a complete makeover of Funtouch OS with an aim to offer a better user experience.

We still have no information about the new Origin OS and also there’s no screenshot revealing UI. So, we can only guess what it could be.

This new Origin OS is expected to debut with the Vivo X60 series that could be officially launched by the end of this year.

Vivo makes good phones but most people report issues with FunTouch OS. That could be the reason why the company decided to replace it. I wish if the new Origin OS brings a clean interface and less bloatware like OxygenOS. Lots of customization not just make the UI heavy but it also brings several bugs that affect the experience.
