Google’s UPI payment app Google Pay is no longer available on Apple’s App Store in India. The app is not available in search and the existing Google Pay app link is broken.

Apple has not said anything about the matter. A Google spokesperson confirmed that the Google Pay iOS app had been briefly pulled from Apple App Store to fix the payment failures issue. He also notes that the issue doesn’t affect Android users, so the app remains available on Google Play. But we know who owns Google Play. 😉

He also promised that the app will soon be back. Existing iOS users might face payment failures while making transactions. So, they can avoid until the issue is fixed.

Google Pay was a good app but payment failure rate has increased recently. I personally switched back to BHIM app for the UPI payment apps for the same reason. PhonePe has also became quite popular recently because many Google Pay users found PhonePe better.
