After announcing iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini, Apple announced 2020 flagship phones: iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Both the phones come with larger displays than predecessors and pack 5G connectivity.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Displays respectively that are bigger than 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max. So, the new iPhone 12 Max Pro is also the biggest phone by Apple to date. Both the phones have a stainless steel design and will be available in four colors: gray, stainless steel, gold, and a new blue.
Both the phones pack Apple’s A14 Bionic chip based on the 5nm process. It includes a 6-core CPU and a four-core GPU. Apple promises console-quality gaming on a smartphone. You have 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options
The new iPhone 12 Pro comes with a triple-camera system with 12 megapixels primary, 12 megapixels ultra-wide, and 12 megapixels telephoto lenses.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a better camera setup. It includes a new 12MP telephoto with a 65mm focal length to offer up to 2.5 times optical zoom. There’s a new OIS system and wider sensor.
Apple also teased a new camera feature “Apple ProRAW” that will be available later this year.
Both the models can shoot in HDR videos are also the first products to shoot directly in Dolby Vision HDR. You will also be able to edit the Dolby Vision HDR video straight from the Photos app.
One of the most notable addition is 5G. These new iPhone models support sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G.
The new iPhone 12 Pro models sport Ceramic Shield and are IP68 rated.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro max will start at $999 and $1,099 respectively Pre-orders of iPhone 12 Pro start on Friday, October 16th and it will ship starting October 23rd. iPhone 12 Pro Max will be up for preorders on November 6th and ship on November 13th.
In India, these phones start at Rs. 119,900 and Rs. 129,900.
