Amazon India has launched a train ticket booking service in partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). So, you can now book train tickets directly from Amazon’s mobile website and Android app.
Amazon promises several fealties including one-click payment, no additional service charges, and cashback offers to give you a better ticketing experience. First-time customers can also avail cashback of up to Rs. 120 on their bookings.
To access the Train Ticket booking section on the Android app, you need to check the Amazon Pay section.
The app lets you check seat and quota availability across all train classes on the app before you book the ticket. You can also check PNR status on the Amazon app but only for tickets booked on the Amazon app. Cancellation option will also be available.
Amazon is offering 10 percent cashback (up to Rs. 100) on the first ticket but 12 percent (up to Rs. 100) for prime customers on the first booking for a limited time. Amazon has also waived off service and payment gateway transaction charges.
