Sony just announced the company’s latest smartphone Xperia 5 II. The phone comes with a Cinemagrade display, high-end specs, and good 4K HDR 120 fps recording.

Sony Xperia 5 II features a 6.1-inch 21:9 CinemaWide FHD+ HDR display with a 120Hz Refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate and 240Hz Motion blur reduction. So, the display feels a lot smoother than you see in most flagship phones. It also packs BRAVIA X1 for mobile to offer bright colors. Sony also claims that the touch response of the display has been improved by 356% to offer quick and accurate gaming control. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

It packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 7nm Soc with Adreno 650 GPU and GB RAM. The phone also comes with 128GB of storage with an option to expand storage up to 1TB via microSD card.

The phone has a triple camera with 12 megapixels primary camera, 12 megapixels 124° ultra-wide-angle camera, and 12 megapixels telephoto camera. Both primary and telephoto camera features OIS and EIS. You can record up to 4K HDR 120 fps videos. It also has Real-time Eye AF1 For selfies, the phone comes with an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone is also water-resistant. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and claims to offer improved audio quality.

Connectivity options include 5G (sub-6GHz) / 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C. It packs 4000mAh Battery with USB-PD fast charging.

The Sony Xperia 5 II is priced at $950 and will be available for pre-order in the US starting from September 29. Shipping starts from December 4, 2020.
