Sony India has launched its new digital voice recorder Sony ICD-PX470 in India. It is priced at Rs. 4,990 and will be available across Sony retail stores, major electronic stores, ShopatSC.com, Amazon, and Flipkart starting 14th September 2020.

PX470 claims to offer high-quality sound recording with superior voice clarity and low background noise. PX470 digital voice recorder boasts to offer an S-microphone system the captures distant or quiet sounds without picking much background noise.

You can record sounds in Linear PCM or MP3 formats. Linear PCM files will be larger in size than the compressed MP3 and offer better quality. You can use MP3 if you want a smaller file size for recording long conversations.

The device offers adjustable microphone settings, so you can focus on the sound you want to capture. Select Focus mode if you want to record narrow filed sound coming from one direction. For meetings, select Wide-Stereo mode. There are four scenes pre-sets including music, meeting, interview, and dictation. Select one based on your need.

The device comes with 4GB of internal storage that can record 59 h 35 m of recording in stereo at MP3 128 kbps. You can further expand the storage up to 32GB. It has a built-in USB connector. So, you can plug it in the USB port of your system for quickly transferring files.

All the recordings are marked by date to make searching easier. You can use the calendar search for finding the right recording file easily. It also features several features getting like easily fast-forward, rewind, and Digital Pitch Control so you can listen to conversation more closely. These features help in conversations down on paper.

It uses two AAA batteries for running and batteries last for up to 55 hours of recording.
