Xiaomi has launched its first smart speaker Mi Smart Speaker in India. It os priced at Rs. 3,999 and will be available at an introductory price of Rs. 3,499.

The speaker has metal mesh design and looks really good. It also has voice light on top that looks similar to ring light of Amazon Echo speakers. The speaker promises good sound experience and aims to be a competitor of Google Home Mini.

It has a 12W 2.5-inch front-firing audio driver tuned with DTS sound. The speaker has a Hi-Fi audio processor to accurately decode audio signals. There’s also a touch pane; with controls to adjust the volume level, play/ pause music tracks, and mute the inbuilt microphones.

Mi Smart Speaker comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

It has Google Assistant support and is compatible with the Google Home app. You can use it to control all connected devices. You can also have a multi-room setup using the Google Home app. It has two far-field microphones for listing to properly.

It will be available from Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting Thursday, October 1. Later, it will also be available through offline stores.
