LG has finally launched its swiveling-display smartphone LG Wing. This unique dual-screen phone is the first device under LG’s new “Explorer Project” branding that aims to explore new kinds of smartphones.

LG Wing has a primary 6.8-inches display along with a secondary screen of 3.9-inches. The primary display can rotate at a 90-degree angle, so you can use it to consume horizontal content while keep using the secondary display. LG claims that this Swivel mechanism has been tested for 200,000 swivels. The Hinge module has a support of Hydraulic Damper for smoother swiveling and to prevent scratches on the Second Screen,.

The phone packs Snapdragon 765G with an integrated X52 modem for 5G , 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.

LG Wing has a triple camera setup that includes 64 megapixels primary camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 13 megapixels wide camera. It also features Gimbal Motion Camera for better stabilization compared to traditional OIS for improved video recording experience. There’s a 32 megapixels pop-up selfie camera. This pop-up mobile retracts automatically when the phone is in free fall.

The phone has so many moving parts still LG promises durability. The company is also working on cases that will be compatible with this design. LG Wing is also IP54 water and dust-resistant as well as MIL-STD 810G certified.

It includes 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C. There’s also an under-display fingerprint sensor. It packs a 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging.

LG Wing will be released in the US on Verizon first, followed by AT&T and T-Mobile launches . Price and Specs will vary by network partner. That’s the reason LG has yet to confirm the pricing. We also don’t know the release date yet.
